2/202017 Minutes
1. Meet, greet and sign in, new attendees adding addresses to roster, at 4 p.m.
A. Mary Moreau called the meeting to order at 4:02 p.m. Present besides Moreau: Sheila Torres, David Besenfelder, Mary Dodds, Robbee Royce, Jennie Lew, Denise Malvini, Dianne Brown, Diana St. James, Sandra Nordgren, Vicky Hill, Geo St. James, Sara Seltzer, Elaine Cady and Rae Miller.
2. Minutes for November 2016 were unanimously approved on a motion by Royce, seconded by Torres.
3. Treasurer Torres reported a petty cash balance of $39.20 and a bank balance of $275.23 with a total balance of $314.43. The report was unanimously approved on a motion by Miller, seconded by Malvini.
4. Librarian Royce reported that library items are listed on the web site and can be checked out. Webmaster Nordgren reported that she is rebuilding the web site.
5. Old business, new business items were tabled to make time for guest speakers: Diana St. James presented her book, “Emma Speaks”, which describes her paranormal experience communicating with her horse. Several members purchased copies of the book, one of which is in the club library. Besenfelder described a seminar he attended at Flag Is Up Ranch, where Monty Roberts has a learning center devoted to his “join-up “ concept of trust and nonviolence applied to both equine and human interaction.
6. Nominations are open for 2017-18 officers; election in April.
7. Mary Dodds and Denise Malvini said they would attend the Feb. 21 Activities Council meeting.
8. Dues, $10, for 2017-2018 are payable.
9. The meeting was adjourned at 5:25 p.m.
The next meeting will be at 4 p.m. Monday, March 20, in the Mulligan Room, Creekside Clubhouse.
