4/9/18 Minutes
1. Meet, greet and sign in, new attendees providing phone numbers, street and email addresses at 1 p.m.
2. Denise Malvini called the meeting to order at 1:07 p.m. Present besides Malvini: Sheila Torres, Sara Seltzer, Rosemary Fischer, Rae Miller, Adi and Roberta Adins, and William K. (Bill) Quarles, a new Rossmoor resident from Southern California.
3. March minutes unanimously approved on a motion by Torres, seconded by Fischer.
4. Treasurer Torres reported a petty cash balance of $46.20 and a bank balance of $185.27. Unanimously approved on a motion by Miller, seconded by Malvini. Fourteen members have paid their 2018 dues. At least six more paid memberships needed to meet club status and room reservation.
5. Library report: The librarian was not present to update the library status.
6. Webmaster report: The webmaster was not present to update the website status.
7. Old business:
A. May 5 Derby Party: Reservations and $20 per person due April 21.
B. June 23 Flea Market: Seltzer to reserve tables for club merchandise, with leftovers to be donated to Discovery Shop. Miller to bring club sign to May meeting for possible use at this event.
8. New business: No new business.
9. Sharing:
A. Besenfelder emailed link to equine presentation at Monty Roberts’ ranch.
B. Torres described surprise meeting with Charles Wilhelm, trainer of Tennyson, the senior horse for which she, Lew and Royce provide care and companionship at nearby stable.
10. The meeting was adjourned at 2 p.m.
The next meeting will be at 1 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2018.
