8/13/18 Minutes
1. Meet, greet and sign in, new attendees providing phone numbers, street and email addresses at 1 p.m.
2. Denise Malvini called the meeting to order at 1:03 p.m. Present besides Malvini: Rae Miller, Sandra Nordgren, Sheila
Torres, Robbee Royce, Loreta Landucci and Sara Seltzer.
3. July Minutes: approved on motion by Torres, second by Royce.
4. Treasurer report: $525.15 bank balance; $32.88 petty cash, $558.03 total. Unanimously approved on motion by
Seltzer, second by Miller. Bill Quarles sent check to add to Flea Market donation. Miller to send thank-you note.
5. Librarian report: book exchanged.
6. Webmaster report: blog added to website allowing feedback on postings. Malvini will bring laptop to September
meeting to view website.
7. Old business:
A. Flea Market donation: Possible recipients discussed. Miller to contact
NeighSavers (www.NeighSavers.org) to speak at Sept. meeting. **
Seltzer will have table at Sept. 15 Flea Market, offered to take club items for separate sale.
8. New business:
A. Club room reservation for 2019: preferences to be requested by email, appointment to be made with Rec. Dept. starting Aug. 20.
B. Connected Horse upcoming sessions: info posted at Gateway, in club display case, which is being redesigned.
9. Sharing:
A. Tenny update: new volunteer to start Aug. 14, unable to attend August meeting, will attend September meeting.
B. Racing update: Besenfelder emailed latest results.
C. A’s game: Eight club members attended event sponsored by Xenophon. Members noted ways club supports
Xenophon – attending December benefit dinner, publicizing events, programs.
10. The meeting was adjourned at 2:03 p.m.
The next meeting will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2018.

** Response to invitation to Neigh Savers:
I am sorry but I am the only one in the area and will be out of town on September 10th. I am also nearing retirement and will be spending 6 months a year at my Baja home starting in mid October so am not available for any future meetings either, unless they fall into the May - October range next year. Good luck with your club!
