3/20/2017 Minutes
1. Meet, greet and sign in, new attendees adding addresses to roster, at 4 p.m.
A. Mary Moreau called the meeting to order at 4:06 p.m. Present besides Moreau: Sheila Torres, David Besenfelder, Mary Dodds, Robbee Royce, Jennie Lew, Denise Malvini, Sara Seltzer and Rae Miller.
2. February minutes unanimously approved on a motion by Royce, seconded by Seltzer.
3. Treasurer Torres reported a petty cash balance of $39.20 and a bank balance of $285.23 with a total balance of $324.43. The report was unanimously approved on a motion by Miller, seconded by Seltzer. Several members paid dues, and Miller suggested a membership list be provided at the April meeting.
4. Old business:
A. Holiday potluck received a positive review with support for the event in January 2018.
B. Activities Council - Dodds, Malvini attended February meeting, described our club and requested more club mailboxes at Gateway office. They agreed to attend next meeting on April 18.
C. Former Rossmoor stable – Moreau brought several stable-related documents, meeting with CEO recalled, and Miller to bring to April meeting his written version of events related to closing of stable.
5. New business:
A. Rescue report – Lew reviewed contact with rescue group in Petaluma that led to horse trailer donation.
B. Ideas for events, projects – Suggestions included riding opportunities (www.hiddentrails.com), visit to Reinstein Ranch, Livermore (Reinstein Ranch Video Tour- 8201 Highland Road Livermore Ca 925-447-0194), horse racing, Xenophon events.
C. Tasha update – visitors limited; Mary offered to bring towels for bathing, grooming.
D. Nominations for 2017-18 officers – Moreau, Torres and Miller agreed to be renominated, Seltzer nominated for vice president. Slate unanimously approved on a motion by Besenfelder, seconded by Lew and installed for the current term.
6. Dues, $10, for 2017-2018 are payable.
7. The meeting was adjourned at 5:20 p.m.
The next meeting will be at 4 p.m. Monday, May 22, in the Mulligan Room, Creekside Clubhouse.
