Minutes of 2/13/23
1. Meet, greet and sign in at 1 p.m. Present: Sheila Torres, Peggy Pearson, Dan Owens, Rae Miller, Robbee Royce, Anne Schulenberger, Wendy Markel, Bobby Besenfelder, John Moilan, Diana Dougherty, Nancy Boyce, Mary Orr.
2. Nov. 14 minutes unanimously approved on a motion by Torres, seconded by Shulenberger.
3. Treasurer's Report:
Balance 10/28/22 - $239.18
11/16/22 - GRF (party) -$20.00
Balance 11/16/22 $219.18
11/28/22 - Eggs +14.00
Balance 11/28/22 $233.18
11/28/22 - Dues +$10.00

4. Librarian Report: “Horse” novel being shared. Sheila Torres currently reading it.
5. Website Report: Shulenberger said she would follow up on Besenfelder’s comment that David Besenfelder worked on websites and could perhaps help with club’s website.
6. Old business:
A. Update: Movies - Pearson relayed club movie suggestions (Snowman,
The Horse Whisperer, Dream Horse, Mustang, War Horse, Seabiscuit) to Brian Pennebaker, Recreation, and dates for showing are being explored.
B. Holiday Party Review: Shulenberger - fun, lots of food, but low attendance; Pearson - suggested background music.
7. New Business:
A. Feb. 23 Denise Malvini memorial service announced, carpool plans set.
B. Activity suggestions: Following discussion of ECWC activities, $50 membership renewal in that organization approved unanimously on motion by Miller, seconded by Besenfelder. Torres asked Moilan if stable visit could be rescheduled, he agreed, date to be determined. Spring Flea Market participation discussed; tabled for lack of support.
8. Sharing
A. Bailey update: Visits continue with various equine antics.
B. Owens no longer has eggs to donate. He gave away most of his chickens.
C. Besenfelder noted that Frisco Kid claimed, Tesoro their only racehorse. He had been out to pasture and is currently being conditioned. 9. Adjourned at 2:20 p.m. Next meeting: 1 p.m. Monday, March 13, Mulligan Room, Creekside Clubhouse.
